Connectivity Problems

Phone Manager Mobile will automatically detect whether you are connecting from inside the office or externally. If at any time Phone Manager has a problem connecting to the server then a message will display at the top of the screen as shown below:

 

The most likely cause of this message is that the mobile phone has no data connection with which to connect back to the server. When this happens the following features of the application will still be available:

All other features will be restricted until a valid connection to the server can be established.

There is a known issue with iOS 12 onwards and IPv6 networks where the client will not connect over the internet using IP address, but will connect if using fully qualified name.
In the UK this affects Mobiles using the EE and O2 networks (this includes MVNOs running on the networks such as BT Mobile and Virgin Mobile). No specific networks are known for the US at this time.
